[more] Hair Fair 2014

Here's another installment of my favorite finds from Hair Fair 2014 (check #1 post - HERE)!  The sims are open to the public and I'm sure you've been wading through a bit of lag to get the hairs you want. It's definitely best to make a shopping plan BEFORE you go.  So join me as I wade through the waters for you.

Boho&Innocent

Since relaxed styles are some of favorites, I picked a few boho looks. The long & flowey style from Lamb is stunning, and it paired well with my headwear from Lode.  Of course, Lelutka always nails their Hair Fair releases and this year was no exception. Elua was a new brand to me this year, and this was another sweet&innocent short style I nabbed.

Unique&Trendy

 There were a ton of unique styles at Hair Fair, but none more unique and fun than the collection from Ohmai. She includes all of these fabulous animated birds with the hairs.  I fell in love immediately. Of course I was nabbing the best freebies and this bright piled bun from Blues was a fab find. Ane is a new hair maker and she was kind enough to send me some of her fab styles. The pigtails were so cute and stylish.

Casual&Relaxed

 Freebies are always hit or miss, and I must say that this year's Hair Fair had some fabulous freebie finds like this hat/hair combo from elua.  My fav styles tend to be more relaxed and casual, so the wavy short style from Clawtooth was one of my top finds.  I also loved the full collection from Ison!

Eccentric&Formal

Avant garde styles are perfect for high fashion looks, and I really was wow'd by the styles at .SHI.  The hair accessory that came with the look was a super bonus. Milana has amazing textures, and this over the top pile of loose curls was just an immediate YES.  I nabbed another fab freebie and this coifed style from Miamai was awesome. I did edit it to make it larger and move it to change the look. The basic style rests just atop your crown.

[Hair Fair] 2014

Hair Fair 2014 is about to open, and I've spent all day getting the inside scoop on this year's finds!  I was in hair heaven looking through all the shops and loving this year's trends.  Some of the top trends include braids, tousled waves and epic couture styles.

[Braids&Tails]

No hair wardrobe is complete without the perfect braided 'do.  I have to say Lelutka nailed it this year with their side swept plaits.  Another front runner was the pigtail braids from Tram.  A new to me brand, elua, really impressed me with their low ponytail.

[Streetwear&Rainbows]

I loved all the rainbow hues available this year! Tons of options and people really are pushing the envelope with color theory and hair texturing.  I did a bit of mix&match dye job with Lamb since this style is in 2 parts. And you MUST pick up the FREEBIE from (red)Mint.

[Long&Flowey]

One can never have too many long and flowey straight styles and the ones from LoQ'ue, Lamb and Mina are beyond heavenly.  I really loved their natural tones and the loose slightly tousled style.

[Couture&Golden]

The cherry on top this year for me was the really adventurous couture hairstyles.  I fell in LOVE with the geisha-esque style from [sYs], the fans are color change and I must have spent an hour playing with all of the options.  Another winner of course was the amazing couture collection from Miamai, I could have blown my entire budget just in their shop.  Lelutka also won out with their frizzy-wide look. It will a perfect topper to edge out any look.

In a few hours, the June '14 Collabor88 says goodbye to prepare for next month's cycle.  So I had time to post one last highlight from this round.  The Lighthouse was a wonderful theme, full of nautical inspirations but I really enjoyed the simplicity of the Fisherman's Shack from Pilot.

Of course, I had a little music running in my mind as I write this post.  Lifehouse's Hanging by a Moment really spoke to me.

The Arcade [Dreams]

The Arcade is open and in full swing! Hopefully you all have been able to make it in and collect some fabulous goodies. One of my favorite collections is from the queen of adorable, Azure Electricteeth of Tee*fy.

The ZZZ collection has some uber cute pieces, like the Fluffy Sheep Hat and of course the Lop Eared Bunny Plushie. The collection has an adorable factor times one billion!  The .click. Pillow Fight set was a great way to showcase my new sleep set.

For us in the US it's our last day of a fabulously long weekend to celebrate Labor Day, and although I should be getting ready for dream land I find myself kicking and screaming hoping tomorrow won't come! *sticks tongue out* Boo work!

The last days of summer are upon us, and I hope you all have been able to soak up every last second. My weekend was filled with hours outside enjoying perfect moments with family and friends.  We all get so busy with our lives it's nice to take time out to decompress. Join me on a little modern safari adventure.

Leezu Baxter never ceases to amaze me! After four years of working with her, she still blows me away with her creativity. Today's new release is no exception. The  Deklannche top is a corseted mesh top that takes bondage fashion to another level.  It comes in three base colors of black, beige and brown. There is a HUD for easy resize and texture change. The reptile and jewel parts have 9 color options.

Anyone who knows me will say I'm a crazy music nut! Check out my new favorite tune from JayZ+JT!

Short&Accessorized

 Hair Fair 2013 has arrived!! Let the excitement begin!  For me, Hair Fair has got to be one of my most favorite events in SL!  I get giddy like Christmas waiting for the sims to open, and can't wait to jump in and see all the newness! Trends for this years event - Accessories, Color, & Whimsy.

Long&Colorful

 I went a little crazy this year nabbing up a ton of styles. Lately, there just hasn't been much hair releases probably because every designer was working hard to put forth these amazing new releases. There really is something for everyone from the avant garde/couture to the everyday with a bit of whimsy.

Mid&Whimsy

 Mice are invading Second Life® courtesy of the uber talented Systi and Syane Cisse, designer duo of [sYs]. The new [MousYs] ClubWear collection launched today with a party at GOL.  It was very cool to see everyone partying with their [MousYs] ears!

 The collection is themed with an alien mice motif in tribal, skulls, union jack and DJ patterns. The sisters outdid themselves. You'll find tanks, tees, jeans, shorts, skirts, dresses, shoes, sunglasses, and necklaces! For girls and guys, there is something for everyone!

Thank you also to the lovely Mavi Beck of MaVie for sending over some fabulous poses that are now available for Lazy Sunday at her Mainstore. 

I was very honored to model and also shoot the collection advertisement featuring the [sYs] models! [Yes, I was in a hot model sandwich - jealous?]

 Lately I've been a kid in a candy store with all the new releases from the amazing events happening in SL! I feel like I'll float away on a happy cloud of awesomeness! Today, I'm sharing some new finds from The Liaison Collaborative and TDR Fusion. Both opened TODAY!

Belleza's new Mya skin is a STUNNER! It's sexy and girl-next-door all at the same time. I love the nose on this one, and my new fav. This version is exclusively available at The Liaison Collaborative Boutique.

The beautiful dress and pumps with stockings are newness from Baiastice! I am in love with both and imagine I'll be floating around all weekend through the clouds!

When you find something you love, it inspires you! The Pia leather skirt from LeeZu has had me a wee bit style crazy! Also, I'm just still in love with the new Fei skin from Elysium coming March 15th to Skin Fair 2013. (See the last style with both HERE).

Also well the new Angelina strappy corset pumps from GOS Boutique are a dream.  I sort of got "wrapped" up in the theme of bondage and restraint. LeeZu's BDSM line was a great inspiration and pieces from that collection helped accent the look.

The collar corset is a Marketplace find from this brilliant shop named ROSAL. It's a very roleplay oriented style but the collar in no other word is AMAZING. The full fat pack version is tintable, and you can adjust every aspect of the colors on the mesh collar. Check it out!

the [Collector]

The ARCADE is opening so very soon! In a few short hours it will open it's sim to everyone to join in the gacha fun. I've been so over the moon to share sneak peeks this week. It's a collector's paradise and you'll want to check out all the wonderful finds!

I love the vintage flowers from Boom with the antlers from Half Deer. The Arcade also marks the pre-release of the Luria skin from Glam Affair. It's a stunner, the lips are just so dewy and perfect.

Also opening soon is FAmeshed and Sissy was lovely to share this upcoming dress for her collection. I love the electric blue and the amazing collar detail. It's a very posh style that any lady will love.

Miamai brings their uber popular Critter Society collection to an accessory line of shoes and bags. I loved the unicorn with the wavy blue hair.  You'll really enjoy the tons of accessories that are coming to The Arcade.

[Immersiva]

My adventures in SL continue! Today I visited Immersiva, one of the most astounding art sims by the talented Bryn Oh!  It's full of macabre, whimsy and wonder. Of course I had to dress the part.

LeeZu released the Oxford Variant dress recently and it's a sexy take on a cute shift. It envelopes y ou in ribbons over a sheer overlay so you can see skin peeking through.  It's even got layer for the Lola Tango Appliers, but I like my small breasts so I'll leave that post to my sexier blog sisters.

The wrap sweater from Monso is another wonderful find that's perfect as we transition from the not quite so warm Spring. Perfect topper to a dress or to wear for a sexy shrug with lingerie.

[Asian] ARCADE

Back again with MORE from The ARCADE!  Asian influences were all over the runways this season and it seems inspiration crept into our Arcade designers. I'm absolutely in love with LeeZu's curtains, they are the perfect backdrop for photos and a perfect edition to any home.  She made them modifiable so you can just about fit anywhere!

 Every time I think Glam Affair has outdone themselves, they release something WOW!  I am loving the new headpiece and I don't think I'll be taking this off anytime soon.  I totally played with mixing patterns with the japanese print on the curtains, the leopard fan and polka dots on the suitcase. Randomly delicious!

One of the cutest finds this round are the Puss Pillows from NX-Nardcotix! They are huggable and adorable to boot! The sugar skull inspired kitteh is my FAV! You'll definitely want to collect them all!

[Intergalactic]

Today I'm feeling like an intergalactic meteor coming at you with fierce feminine fashion! It's all thanks to Luca Boucher of Elysium.  The Geometrica Corset is a fabulous find and I'm thrilled to showcase this piece. 

 The set is just a basic whit background with some great shadows thrown from our sim. It created a great illusion of patter behind me in shadow!

Hart Larsson of [PXL] has a new gacha featuring some stunning Kate skins. I'm wearing the Lust version that is sure make any man or well alien drool. It's the rare find but totally worth the effort!

 Everyday I'm just amazed by what our designers are creating. It's like I think I've found Nirvana one day and believe nothing could be better... then the very next day it's something WOW again! The new releases from Glam Affair are pushing the envelope every week. Inspiration coming from RL runways and trends like the Asian inspired Divinity hairpiece.

I'm also in love with the Fur Bolero that Maxi so graciously shared at the Euphoria Limited Bazaar for a generous $150L!  She's a sweetie and her creative fur pieces are a wardrobe staple for any true fashionista!

Most will notice that my styles are always a mix of old with new. It's fun to make one's styles original and fresh - finding pieces from our inventories is essential to standing out when everyone is rushing to wear the latest releases. The MC Escher inspired pieces created by Onyx Leshelle for the Epoch Legend event were priceless really. I love the limited edition finds and always try to snatch up, because you never know when you'll need to dust something off!

[Optical] Illusions

 Runways this season were covered with bold strokes and graphic silhouettes. It's like designers were pushing colorblocking forward and more extreme. More so I see it as a challenge, like how much is comfortable and just how far can you go! 

I loved playing with the lines of this look with DIRAM's structured yet feminine blazer paired with my new favorite skirt from Indyra. I keep playing with this skirt, really it holds so much possibilities and it's right on trend.

The accents are an unexpected shade of Kermit to shake things up a bit more. I had a lot of fun with this look and would love to see your take on the new stripe trend!
