[more] Hair Fair 2014

Here's another installment of my favorite finds from Hair Fair 2014 (check #1 post - HERE)!  The sims are open to the public and I'm sure you've been wading through a bit of lag to get the hairs you want. It's definitely best to make a shopping plan BEFORE you go.  So join me as I wade through the waters for you.

Boho&Innocent

Since relaxed styles are some of favorites, I picked a few boho looks. The long & flowey style from Lamb is stunning, and it paired well with my headwear from Lode.  Of course, Lelutka always nails their Hair Fair releases and this year was no exception. Elua was a new brand to me this year, and this was another sweet&innocent short style I nabbed.

Unique&Trendy

 There were a ton of unique styles at Hair Fair, but none more unique and fun than the collection from Ohmai. She includes all of these fabulous animated birds with the hairs.  I fell in love immediately. Of course I was nabbing the best freebies and this bright piled bun from Blues was a fab find. Ane is a new hair maker and she was kind enough to send me some of her fab styles. The pigtails were so cute and stylish.

Casual&Relaxed

 Freebies are always hit or miss, and I must say that this year's Hair Fair had some fabulous freebie finds like this hat/hair combo from elua.  My fav styles tend to be more relaxed and casual, so the wavy short style from Clawtooth was one of my top finds.  I also loved the full collection from Ison!

Eccentric&Formal

Avant garde styles are perfect for high fashion looks, and I really was wow'd by the styles at .SHI.  The hair accessory that came with the look was a super bonus. Milana has amazing textures, and this over the top pile of loose curls was just an immediate YES.  I nabbed another fab freebie and this coifed style from Miamai was awesome. I did edit it to make it larger and move it to change the look. The basic style rests just atop your crown.

HOPPY Easter!  I'm over-the-moon tickled today because the Maitreya Spring '14 collection has arrived. And the topping on this already delicious Sunday (sundae pun - oh yes I did!), would be the fact I won the Maitreya Window Dresser Contest. *squeals* My window dressing is currently on display at the mainstore. I hope you love it as much as we do!

Onyx Leshelle, the owner of Maitreya launched a contest in July 2013 searching for people to dress the large window display at the mainstore.  This contest was so much fun, I always have been a vitrine lover and this was a great opportunity to put my creative skills to the test. Although,  please don't ask Onyx about my stick-man drawings. I'm sure you'll only induce giggle fits.

The best part though is the fact you can still enter!   So put on your thinking caps and get on it people! The winner receives 25,000L in store credit and the opportunity for their signed work to be in the window display. Yes I'm still squealing in delight!

On a side note, I really would like to thank Onyx and Beau for the opportunity. I had an amazing time working with you both. It felt truly collaborative and especially enlightening. Much love to you both!

Of course the contest is just amazing, but that's not the only reason you should stop by... there is a fabulously new VIP group gift and TONS of new releases. The shoes above are wonderful, not only because of the new Maitreya Skin Match HUD but also the option of using your SLink feet.  So grab the new releases while they are hot on the shelves. The fruit hat from Enfant Terrible was something I had my eye on even before the event opened, so when we were offered a blogger pack, I couldn't help but squeal in delight. So here is my take on a more modern Carmen Miranda. My own personal style-paradise.

 If you are like me, your spare time is pretty rare.  So we have to take advantage when an opportunity arises. I had a few moments today, I hopped in world to enjoy some new finds and of course a little music. 

I was delighted with all the awesome from finds from this month's Collabor88 and Chapter Four with some excellent pieces from this round of TDR.  This post was definitely a hodge podge of newness with a couple of excellent items from the last Arcade.

The last days of summer are upon us, and I hope you all have been able to soak up every last second. My weekend was filled with hours outside enjoying perfect moments with family and friends.  We all get so busy with our lives it's nice to take time out to decompress. Join me on a little modern safari adventure.

Leezu Baxter never ceases to amaze me! After four years of working with her, she still blows me away with her creativity. Today's new release is no exception. The  Deklannche top is a corseted mesh top that takes bondage fashion to another level.  It comes in three base colors of black, beige and brown. There is a HUD for easy resize and texture change. The reptile and jewel parts have 9 color options.

Anyone who knows me will say I'm a crazy music nut! Check out my new favorite tune from JayZ+JT!

This month's theme is all about the Gatsby and the Roaring 20s! This decade filled with decadence and abandon leads itself to some pretty inspirational collections like the Loft's contribution, Alder's Living Room. It's art deco in perfection and the precise backdrop for a fabulous little flapper girl care of the Secret Store.

 AVENUE S/S Fashion Week '13 opens in a few days. The upcoming event will include runway shows, retail shopping (limited haute couture as well), and after-parties that will  make even the most sinister fashionista pleased. There really is something for everyone!  My first post to kick off F/W is focused on the Ladies Who Lunch collection. For me it was love at first site!

The collection is filled with neon brights and candy delights! It's the perfect introduction to Spring. I always adore Faint's fashion viewpoint. It's always refreshing and unique combinations!

All poses are by Rogan Diesel of Diesel Works, many from the upcoming Beth & Lourdes sets exclusively at Pose Fair 2013!

Fashion For Life 2013 is hours away and I'm really amazed by all the stunning creations this year. It's awe inspiring to know so many donated their time to such a great cause. I found inspiration in their efforts and I'm excited to share these beautiful works!

PULL created the most stunning jade green gown with such a lush texture, it was the dress that led me down the formal path! The golden bouquet upon my head is a stunner from Finesmith and one of my fav finds at FFL!

 Another tremendous find is the Dana gown from Bliss Couture. I love the sequins with the ombre effect!  The Miamai headpiece is one of the most original creations in SL, and for ages I've wanted to use it in a photo. I've tinted it a bit to coordinate, but I love unexpected macabre of it all. I had a bit of fun with the Shakeup! fans from The Arcade with each of my looks.

Last but not least is a new release from CIA! Ayla created something so original and chic. I loved the wild animal print panels over such a formal dress. I played up the colors with the new headpiece from Glam Affair available exclusively at Collabor88.

A few parting words today...

Inspiration guides me in life. It's where I find my peace.  Ever so more in these past few years, I try to let that little voice speak louder and lead the way. It's like learning to trust an instinct. As a cancer survivor, you learn to appreciate the that voice even more and strive to find that zone of comfort and creativity.  To all the survivors, caregivers & loved ones...make each moment count to honor the gifts we've been given and to honor those lost. Thank you to all of the designers, organizers and volunteers who put so much time and effort into this year's Fashion For Life 2013.

Fashion For Life 2013 is almost here and there is so much shopping goodness this year!! Kunglers Tufi dress is an emerald green delight!  I've styled it up with the LeeZu Silk Lana Top and added a few interesting accessories.

Magika has recently redone her hair textures and HUD packages. For a bargain price of 250L you can get every single regular hair color from blonde to black. If you want the candy colors or fades there are separate packs available. It's a great deal for anyone and the new styles are fabulous!

I swear right now, with all of the great events running it's a fashionista's dream come true! Enjoy all the amazing events and keep your style photos coming!!

Think a suit is boring and dull? Then you need to check out the chic womenswear suits at Mutresse.  There is a wide color selection and it's a great way to add a little more posh to your wardrobe!

Pairing shirts with mesh jackets is not always an easy task, but I found the most amazing dress from Kunglers that fit perfectly under the jacket. The animalistic print with hints of metallics really amps up the style.

I went shopping at Peqe the other day and found the most amazing clutch in a little gacha machine. For 25L a play you can't beat this chic peacock influenced clutch!

Wow! This week has flown by so fast, I cannot believe it's already Wednesday. I didn't have time to post until today. I am a huge fan of Kunglers, the sister design team of Ava and Barbra Kungler are two of the most talented designers I know. You can't help but fall in love with their creations. The Empress collection is their latest jewelry release and it will any lady feel royal.

Unless you have been living under a rock since Saturday, you most certainly are aware of the new ultra feminine shoe collection just released at GOS Boutique. After my shoe coma this weekend, I did come up for air to take a few photos of the stunning Mae in cream.

I love the fan-like detail on the back, something that really makes this shoe stand out. Congrats to Gospel Voom and team on a very successful launch! I can't wait to see what will be coming next.

Some days you just feel like throwing on a bit of everything. No rhyme or reason, just having a bit of styling fun. I love to put things together one wouldn't expect and I really had a blast mixing some new with old!

 I'm in LOVE with the new Memoire Pencil skirts from Indyra Originals! So fabulous in the geometrical pattern and a play of color blocking with whites. The new headband from .SHI is a free gift to all group members. You don't want to miss that at all!

[Patterns]

[LeeZu!] Hair Affair opened this past Sunday, and it couldn't have been more fun! We had trivia and dancing to the tunes of the fabulous DJ Summer Deadlight!  It's a hair lover's paradise, you have tons of brands like Wasabi Pills, Catwa, MINA, Analog Dog and tons more right in one place. If you're an addict like me, you can get your hair fix!

This was my [LeeZu!] style for the event and I traveled to The Grove, again for some fun shots. Yes I know my last few posts have been from there, but really it's a great family of SIMS with tons of little spots for photoshoots!

Just like everyone else in SL, I'm LOVING the new Drift City Pants by Kallisto Destiny!! Such a fabulous design, low rise with color-change HUD for the bow. The pants come in an array of colors with tons of mix/match options. 

I've been eying the  Polka Dot sweater for Emery for weeks, and I finally had a reason to go scoop it up!  The tippet from COCO was a great addition for a little flair, and of course the fabu new clutch from Handverk out now at L'accessories!

The Body Co. is having their first ever SALE!! Skins that were originally 1500L for the base are now 500L each! The makeups are 50% off at 250L each. It's really a great deal!  They opened the sim up early to bloggers so we could get the first peek, but it will be opening today Saturday the 12th to the public. I've styled three looks using the Ivy skin with different make up mixes.
