Of course you have fallen in love with the June '14 round of The ARCADE! Just like me you are probably dying over the amazing creativity of the designers. A new to me designer, Pixicat, really wowed with her Asian collection. Love the little kimono romper and stunning fan. Her work is completely fabulous!  Don't forget you have a few days left of the May '14 Milkshakes and Turntables 50s inspired edition of Collabor88.

It took me forever to post this look because I couldn't seem to find the perfect Asian sim. Many of my go-to sims like Genesys, Japan Kanshai and Virtual Asia were gone. I randomly found China sim and really loved their artistic almost painted environment. Definitely check it out. The links are after the jump.

The summer music festivals are just around the corner. Hopefully you were able to catch some of the amazing tunes from Coachella a few weeks ago. Or the thumping beats from Ultra Miami last month.  Electric Daisy Carnival will be coming soon to Las Vegas in June along with a slew of other great events this season.  Whatever the music scene, it doesn't matter. In the end, it's all about living in the moment and feeling the music.  Being free.

I found some inspiration in the bright color of LeeZu's latest release and thought I'd showcase my inner EDM diva.  Along with some great pieces from past Arcade items, another great SL event right around the corner. Of course, don't forget the clock is ticking down on the April edition of Collabor88.

I was delighted with all the awesome from finds from this month's Collabor88 and Chapter Four with some excellent pieces from this round of TDR.  This post was definitely a hodge podge of newness with a couple of excellent items from the last Arcade.

SHOETOPIA 2013 opens to the public November 15, 2013. This event is guaranteed to make even the most reluctant shopper go crazy.  You'll be able to take a walk in the clouds while shopping in 'shoe heaven.'  Hope they will be accepting bad girls this year because shoes are my addiction and I'm ready to go on a binge!!

SHOETOPIA 2013, The long awaited return of the 'premiere shoe event' in Second Life is set to open on Friday, November 15th, 2013.

November 12, 2013 — Announced way back in January of this year, SHOETOPIA is the reincarnation of the most popular footwear event in Second Life, SHOE FAIR, which has been missing in action since June 2011. Now, almost 10 months since it was announced, SHOETOPIA 2013 is set to open on the 15th of this month with an ethereal build by Artist Rebeca Bashly, that promises to have you in Shoe Heaven! Excited designers and shoe lovers alike, have delighted at the promise of a 'New Kind of Shoe Fair', and the anticipation has been building steadily as opening day draws closer.

Conceived by long time Event Coordinators, Business Managers and Second Life Fashion Bloggers, Sophia Harlow and Anessa Stine, SHOETOPIA is their first collaborative effort combining a mutual love of fashion, respect for ingenuity and quality, and desire to create a memorable and special annual event to fill the void in the Second Life event calendar created when SHOE FAIR failed to take place in 2012. Says Sophia, "When the thought dawned on me that there needed to be a footwear event in Second Life again, there was only one person that I approached. Anessa has always been a 'Shoe Girl', and her creative vision was the perfect compliment to my detail oriented planning skills and excellent relationships with many SL Creators." Both Sophia and Anessa are thankful to the many volunteers who are dedicated to making this event a success.

Carrying on the tradition of it predecessor, SHOETOPIA has selected the charity organization Soles4Souls as its 'Sole' beneficiary. This is a charity that touches all shoe lovers, an organization that not only supports those in need domestically, in North America, but also those met with disaster around the world. Says Anessa, "An organization that puts shoes on the feet of underprivileged children so they can attend schools, allows domestic abuse victims to have a second chance at entering the workforce in style, creates jobs in the most needy of communities, and uses the slogan 'every shoe deserves a Second Life', it could not be a more worthy or appropriate organization to benefit from all of our efforts." The timing of SHOETOPIA could not be more advantageous to Soles4Souls, already hard at work preparing to assist those affected by the recent storms in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, each participating designer will be offering up an item that will see 100% of its proceeds go directly to Soles4Souls.

With more than 50 of Second Life's most talented footwear designers, and dozens of incredible contributing gacha designers, there will something for everyone on this stroll through the clouds. Major Sponsors; Slink, Gos Boutique, Just Design and LaRoo, and additional sponsors; ISON, KOSH, lassitude & ennui, House of London, KoiKoi, fri.day, sYs, House of Fox, Glam Affair, G Field, Valiant and ViveNine/Ryvolter, will all be releasing new items at SHOETOPIA, as will each and every one of the participants. Says Anessa, "The response from designers has been so positive, we are overwhelmed by the quality of the footwear at this event."

The Arcade [Roar]

Happy Labor Day Weekend! Here in the US, we get to enjoy a long and fabulous end of summer weekend.  It turned out perfectly for this year's Arcade. Since I will have off Monday,  I traveled down to the boardwalk to showcase some more finds!

Blogging for The Arcade for the past year has been a tremendous joy! It's an honor to be a part of such a fabulous event. Each round tops the last and that's not an easy task. The last days of summer are upon us, and I hope you all have been able to soak up every last second. My weekend was filled with hours outside enjoying perfect moments with family and friends.  We all get so busy with our lives it's nice to take time out to decompress. Join me on a little modern safari adventure.

Leezu Baxter never ceases to amaze me! After four years of working with her, she still blows me away with her creativity. Today's new release is no exception. The  Deklannche top is a corseted mesh top that takes bondage fashion to another level.  It comes in three base colors of black, beige and brown. There is a HUD for easy resize and texture change. The reptile and jewel parts have 9 color options.

Anyone who knows me will say I'm a crazy music nut! Check out my new favorite tune from JayZ+JT!

Modern [Flapper]

With the latest round of Collabor88 in full swing, the feeds are filled with all of the great vintage inspirations from the Razzle Dazzle 20s inspired theme.  I started thinking more of how to make a look more up-to-date and chic but keeping with that vintage feel. My modern flapper was born.

Challenging myself with this modern flapper look, I wanted also to apply this vintage vs modern quest to my inventory. We often get so wrapped up into buying the NEW,  when we have some fabulous creations gathering virtual dust in our massive inventories.  So this look is all about mixing the vintage with the new to create a cohesive style.

The ISON vest is really a masterpiece and on it's way to be an essential in my wardrobe. Paired with the Victoria shorts from LeeZu, you get a silhouette reminiscent of a traditional flapper dress.  The hair is styled in a completely vintage shape, but the fiery red is perfectly modern.  My accents are some of my unique vintage LeeZu finds mixed with modern mesh trims.
 
In keeping with the theme, it reminded me about my obsession with the Gatsby soundtrack. It's filled with AMAZING tuneage.  Today I was feeling the Andre3000/Beyonce cover of the famous Back to Black. It takes this modern song with a retro vibe from the amazing Amy Winehouse to a whole new level. Listen HERE.

Feels good to be back into the groove with blogging, it's always been a fun space to be creative and share things I love.  With a busy real life, I wasn't able to post as often as I wanted. You won't believe the number of pending blog posts I have still!  This one today is from a TDR Fusion a few months ago (terribly delayed!), big apologies but you can find the pants and earrings still at LeeZu [There is a 50% off sale at LeeZu so get your butts there before it ends!]  Speaking of sales, do not forget the 100L sale at Glam Affair!

While I was catching up, I remembered the Monday Meme! I've been dying to join in Berry's Blogger Challenges, so I'm taking the opportunity to jump on the bandwagon for this week's Intriquing Question Meme!

1. How do you deal with criticism? Taking criticism is how we all learn and grow. There are ways to give it though, so if  it's given constructively I can take it well. But, if someone is rude or attacks it's hard to deal with. 
2. What’s the most infuriating thing other SL residents do? The most infuriating thing for me is when people make public drama for no reason. Things would be so much better if people took 5 minutes to message the other directly instead of sharing/airing their laundry on Blogs/Flickr/Plurk/FB, etc. Sometimes you just want to tell people to grow up!
3. Which SL resident would you most like to have lunch with and why? This is a great question, I'd love to TP all of my great friends together for a lunch date in RL. Just get us all in the same room for laughs and good food.
4. Who would you say is your “anti” role model? Someone who serves as a warning rather than an inspiration? My life has always been about the "Golden Rule", 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. I try to live by that as much as possible. You learn pretty quickly to trust your gut, and stick to who you are... I don't look at others as "anti" role models more so as... I just want to focus on being the person I am and take everyday is an opportunity to learn and grow. We all make mistakes, it's what we do to learn from them.
5. What was something you used to enjoy, but was ruined for you?  Flickr!! I used to REALLY enjoy Flickr but with the new layout it's been ruined for me. I still go there, but it's not how it used to be - the feel is gone and I don't use it as my main place to browse SL anymore. 
6. What’s something you want to do that you’d be embarrassed to tell other people about? Hmmm... I have always wanted to CREATE in SL, and I'd be incredibly embarrassed to actually do it. I have an admiration for designers in SL who put themselves out there everyday making something people love so much they purchase with their hard earned dollars. But, my building talents suck horribly and I have no patience for it. So, I enjoy other creative outlets like blogging/photography.
7. What’s the oddest term of endearment you’ve ever used or that someone’s used for you? Loool - babushka! I don't know where it came from really, the guy is Italian and I'm American. So not sure how it happened but it was very cute and ODD!
8. Have you ever fallen in love with another SL resident? Yes, of course several times. I'd be surprised if anyone said no to this one.
9. Describe a time/event in your slife that you’re nostalgic for. There are a TON of great memories in SL. I loved being a NOOB, where everything is about discovering this fabulous world.  The month my bestie Beanie and I adventured SL as beans was hilarious! We went on adventures like The Magical Television Plant! Of course, I'm always so proud of my work in fashion so I'm nostalgic for the awesome times I had as Fashion Editor of AVENUE Magazine and Executive and Features Editor with MODAVIA.
10. What’s something sweet you’d like someone to do for you? My SL has been truly blessed, by both my friends whom I adore and the designers I've been honored to work with.... They have given me the sweetest things like gifts of their designs and even named work for me in inspiration. I'm very spoiled and if anything I don't feel I give enough back. :)

When you find something you love, it inspires you! The Pia leather skirt from LeeZu has had me a wee bit style crazy! Also, I'm just still in love with the new Fei skin from Elysium coming March 15th to Skin Fair 2013. (See the last style with both HERE).

Also well the new Angelina strappy corset pumps from GOS Boutique are a dream.  I sort of got "wrapped" up in the theme of bondage and restraint. LeeZu's BDSM line was a great inspiration and pieces from that collection helped accent the look.

The collar corset is a Marketplace find from this brilliant shop named ROSAL. It's a very roleplay oriented style but the collar in no other word is AMAZING. The full fat pack version is tintable, and you can adjust every aspect of the colors on the mesh collar. Check it out!

 Spring is a time for beauty. Nothing signifies spring to me more than Cherry Blossoms. We have the most stunning trees here and when they bloom you are surround by ethereal wonder.  It's fitting the first installment of The Liaison Collaborative used these as inspiration.

The ARCADE is still going strong and I had to share a few more finds along with the cutest new release from Elymode! I'm sure most will rock the dress in all it's sexy goodness, but I was feel a bit geeky today.

The adorable cap from Milk Motion was one of my random buys and happily landed the orange one I wanted. My luckiest purchase by far was the boots from Ison. One play and I scored the Rare Floral version. Yes, I squealed! This is totally why gacha is so addictive, you get a little high when you win the rare!

Those LeeZu curtains sure are getting a workout in my studio! I love using them for backdrops and my little house never looked cuter. Score squared!

The ARCADE is opening so very soon! In a few short hours it will open it's sim to everyone to join in the gacha fun. I've been so over the moon to share sneak peeks this week. It's a collector's paradise and you'll want to check out all the wonderful finds!

I love the vintage flowers from Boom with the antlers from Half Deer. The Arcade also marks the pre-release of the Luria skin from Glam Affair. It's a stunner, the lips are just so dewy and perfect.

Also opening soon is FAmeshed and Sissy was lovely to share this upcoming dress for her collection. I love the electric blue and the amazing collar detail. It's a very posh style that any lady will love.

Miamai brings their uber popular Critter Society collection to an accessory line of shoes and bags. I loved the unicorn with the wavy blue hair.  You'll really enjoy the tons of accessories that are coming to The Arcade.

My adventures in SL continue! Today I visited Immersiva, one of the most astounding art sims by the talented Bryn Oh!  It's full of macabre, whimsy and wonder. Of course I had to dress the part.

LeeZu released the Oxford Variant dress recently and it's a sexy take on a cute shift. It envelopes y ou in ribbons over a sheer overlay so you can see skin peeking through.  It's even got layer for the Lola Tango Appliers, but I like my small breasts so I'll leave that post to my sexier blog sisters.

The wrap sweater from Monso is another wonderful find that's perfect as we transition from the not quite so warm Spring. Perfect topper to a dress or to wear for a sexy shrug with lingerie.

Back again with MORE from The ARCADE!  Asian influences were all over the runways this season and it seems inspiration crept into our Arcade designers. I'm absolutely in love with LeeZu's curtains, they are the perfect backdrop for photos and a perfect edition to any home.  She made them modifiable so you can just about fit anywhere!

 Every time I think Glam Affair has outdone themselves, they release something WOW!  I am loving the new headpiece and I don't think I'll be taking this off anytime soon.  I totally played with mixing patterns with the japanese print on the curtains, the leopard fan and polka dots on the suitcase. Randomly delicious!

One of the cutest finds this round are the Puss Pillows from NX-Nardcotix! They are huggable and adorable to boot! The sugar skull inspired kitteh is my FAV! You'll definitely want to collect them all!
